Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

One thing I love about living in Santa Fe is the many incredible restaurants. When it comes to New Mexican food I am super picky! We have many restaurants here and often the ones the tourists go to are not the ones the locals here frequent and love. My absolute favorite is Maria's on 555 Cordova road. I detailed my restaurant painting in honor of this restaurant. The service and fast and friendly, the food is absolutely authentic New Mexico, and the owners Al and Laurie Lucero are incredible people. If you go to Santa Fe it's a must try!

Through my work I always hope to tell a story about my personal experiences as a Hispanic woman. I was born and raised in the beautiful state of New Mexico and my family has been in northern New Mexico for over 10 generations. My work comes from my memories of growing up in a large extended family and my favorite subjects to paint are the people and traditions of northern New Mexico. I have always loved art and have wanted to become an artist for as long as I can remember. My primary medium is acrylic on canvas. I have also enjoyed using acrylic on wood as well.
